I’m Shalom Eshetu, a brand identity designer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, working with founders and operators worldwide. I build brand systems that hold up — not just identities that look right on launch day, but structures that behave correctly over time.

My background is in finance. That shapes how I approach brand work: less as aesthetic exercise, more as infrastructure. Before a mark gets drawn, I want to understand the business — its position, its audience, where it’s going. The logic comes first. The visuals carry it.

Design is more than a logo; it’s a language. I help businesses shape identities that feel modern, consistent, and grounded in how they actually operate, not in whatever’s trending.

I believe good design is quiet, intentional, and purposeful. It doesn’t shout. It communicates.

Got Questions?

01/

How is your work different from a typical branding studio?

You work directly with me — no account managers, no handoffs. Every decision is grounded in a strategic foundation built at the start of the project. The deliverable isn't just a logo and guidelines; it's a working brand system with the logic documented so it can be used and governed correctly.

02/

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Mainly founders and operators building something that needs to hold up over time: startups shaping their first real identity, and established brands that have outgrown how they currently look. Most of my clients are in the middle of meaningful growth or transition.

03/

Can you work with an existing brand?

Yes. I can extend an existing system, refine it, or rebuild it where the foundation no longer holds. I'll always work from what's functioning before recommending changes.

04/

How do you handle revisions?

Revisions happen at structured decision points, not as open-ended rounds. You'll always know what we're deciding and why, which keeps feedback useful and the project on track.
